The
children of the school are very young and it is important
for them to have quick and easy access to their parents.
Our central downtown location makes it easy for most
parents to come quickly when their children are ill or
distressed. EWMS parents often stop in for lunch, drive
for field trips, or rearrange their schedules so they
can work in the classroom one morning on a regular basis.
One of Delaware's last surviving large
school buildings from the mid-19th century, the Elementary
Workshop Montessori School building is on the National Register of Historic
Places.

From North of Wilmington: From I-95 south
take the 4th Street Exit Turn left on to 4th Street
Follow 4th Street past McDonalds past Del Tech Community
College and the Public Safety Bldg. (4th & Walnut)
Pine Street will be three streets up turn left on to
Pine Street Elementary Workshop is on your right at
502 Pine Street. Parking is available in front of the
school and church. If that is full, you may park on
5th Street in front of the playground by driving around
the block (3 right turns).
