Elementary Workshop, Inc. opened in 1971 as an
independent Montessori school in Downtown Wilmington,
DE. For the past 41 years, EW has served children 3-
years old through 6th grade. We are proud of our long, well-
respected history of providing authentic, quality Montessori
in Wilmington.
A new, exciting chapter for the Elementary Workshop will
start in July 2012 through a partnership with the Christina
School District (CSD). Together, EW and CSD will open
the first Montessori public schools in the state of Delaware.
While EW will close its doors as an independent school on
June 8, 2012, this partnership continues the EW legacy
through Montessori Academies of Christina (MAC) .
Announced in October 2011, enrollment for the 2012/2013
school year is underway.
